James has been designing on computers from an early age, his first paid commission was when he was ten years old. He has worked in a design capacity for several companies throughout his working career (Panrix, Nochex, ICI). James has also worked for a number of design studios in Leeds and London (Gas Street Studios, Kludo Studios), both as a commissioned freelancer and in fulltime employment.

Andy Davey's cartoons and caricatures have appeared in several UK publications including The Guardian, The Times, The Sunday Telegraph, The Independent on Sunday, The Scotsman, Private Eye, The Spectator, The New Statesman, Prospect, E!Sharp, (the late, lamented) Punch and (the short-lived) Squib. He has wielded his pen in TV-land too, drawing for the animated satirical cartoon series 2DTV and covering the 2005 general election on Channel Five TV News.
